About Nancy
Nancy Burks Worcester grew up in Dallas, Texas with dreams of becoming a teacher. A chance encounter changed her course. While volunteering at the Hood County Library, Nancy shelved a book about ventriloquism. She checked it out and found that she had a natural talent. Nancy combined this skill with her love of storytelling and found a way to teach children and adults alike, without having to teach them any math.
Nancy is a much sought-after ventriloquist and public speaker, having performed in nearly every state, as well as Mexico and Newfoundland. She has delighted audiences at storytelling festivals across the Southwest, and thousands of churches, schools, and libraries from coast to coast.

The Friends
Nancy’s first friend was Larry the Crocodile, who began as a hand puppet used for nursery rhymes. Slowly he began to take on a personality and a larger role in the song “Five Little Monkeys Sitting in a Tree.” As Nancy’s talent grew, so did her friends. Waco the Weasel was the second to join the family. He is the four year old everyone wishes they had; and lucky for us, he hasn’t aged! Lili, Charlotte, and Dr Eddie have joined the family as well as a few friends who have been special for each year.
