Book-Fiesta-Nancy-FriendsWeʻre excited to be invited back to Andrews Country Libraryʻs “Dia de los Ninos/Dia de los Libros” – Childrenʻs Book Day celebration on April 27th at 5:00PM!

Andrews County Library has been taking part in this literacy event for 9 years! Auhtor Pat Mora wrote Book Fiesta!: Celebrate Children’s Day/Book Day / Celebremos El Dia de Los Ninos/El Dia de Los Libros in 2009; she created the actual event 20 years ago! She took the traditional Mexican holiday and linked it with promoting literacy – Childrenʻs Day/Book Day = Dia de los ninos/ Dia de los libros.

It is also OUR 2nd year to be included and we happy to come back!

Nancy and Friends is exceptional!!  For years, ventriloquist Nancy Worcester has presented LAUGH OUT LOUD programs for the children and adults at the Andrews County Library in Andrews, Texas.  The Nancy and Friends Show does a spectacular job of stressing the importance of reading and emphasizing character-counts values in a fun and engaging show!” – Marilu Chavez, Children’s Librarian—Andrews County Library

Childrenʻs Day, a holiday in Mexico, is celebrated on April 30th! We will be celebrating it with the team at Andrews County Library on April 27th at the James Roberts Center!

This is FREE event, open to the public! Every child in attendance will receive a FREE book as well!

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Andrews County Library!
